Bushland Beach IGA

ThomsonAdsett worked with the Sunland Group to design this Stage 1 neighbourhood shopping centre at Bushland Beach. The new centre caters to a rapidly expanding local community nestled in the northern beaches of Townsville.

The design features wide awnings providing sun protection to the tenancies and external dining spaces. An anodising colour scheme applied to feature wall elements harmonises with the extensive native plantings. Stormwater harvesting tanks are internal within the service core and provide irrigation to the native plantings surrounding the centre.

Stage 2 of the facility will feature a 3000sqm supermarket and additional specialty shops. A great result achieved within budget that works for client, tenants and customers.
