This small multi-purpose church facility with seating for 350 incorporates a range of innovative environmental measures. Internal comfort is provided by a passive ventilation system. Rainwater is harvested and used for irrigation and for the misting system that provides air cooling. In winter, high-level chimney vents are closed and the heated air is forced down and into the auditorium.
The building itself is not outwardly spiritual, but relies on the experiences of the environment for its spirituality. The roof folds over to create a long veranda that draws people along the axis of the building providing panoramic views across a small valley.
