Chris Straw has a strong ability to collaborate and work closely with clients to produce masterplans, strategy plans, design concepts and planning solutions which suit current and future needs. He has extensive experience in a wide range of projects including Aged Care, Educational, Retirement Living, Retail, Churches and Commercial projects.
For the past twenty years Chris Straw has worked predominantly in the strategic development of accommodation for elder people, including Retirement Accommodation, Nursing Home and Hostels, Psychogeriatric and Psychiatric Facilities.
Chris considers that design decisions should be made not only for today but also for the medium to long term. His focus on design comes from an understanding of the client's industry and believes that te broader your perspective, the more accurately you can gauge future trends and opportunities as well as understand niche markets.
He has been responsible for a number of benchmark projects throughout Australia and more recently in New Zealand. He has developed many linkages between public and private sector groups and is leading the debate in the development of new Aged Care and Retirement Living products in the market place.
In recognition of his leadership ability Chris is currently serving as the managing director of the ThomsonAdsett group.
